Robin Thicke: I’m ‘very happily married’

Robin Thicke has broken his silence about reports he cheated on his wife Paula Patton, insisting he and the actress are “very happily married”.

The “Blurred Lines” hit maker’s personal life hit the headlines earlier this month when he was photographed with socialite Lana Scolaro at a post-MTV Video Music Awards party in New York.

In the shot, Thicke appeared to be cupping the blonde’s backside, and she has since gone public with claims he didn’t stop there, telling “Life & Style” magazine the singer hit on her, while Patton watched. Scolaro went on to allege she, Thicke and Patton went on to another party, where he continued to hit on her.

Patton’s representative dismissed Scolaro as “just a girl looking for attention” and insisted the actress and her husband “aren’t concerned” about the cheating rumors.

Thicke proved he only had eyes for the “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” beauty as they hit the red carpet at Manhattan’s No. 8 venue last week (as he celebrated the launch of his new album.

And he has further dismissed Scolaro’s claims in a new interview, insisting, “My only comment about the so-called scandalous photo would be that my wife and I are perfectly in love and very happily married. So, no
complaints there.”

Thicke said he and Miley Cyrus knew their controversial performance at the MTV Video Music Awards last month would cause a ruckus.

The odd couple hit headlines when they took to the stage together in Brooklyn, New York to perform Thicke’s smash summer hit and the former “Hannah Montana” star gyrated and ‘twerked’ with the 36-year-old father and
husband.

But he insists he is unfazed by the shocked reaction that followed, claiming it’s just what the pair was planning and hoping for.

Cyrus defended her performance earlier this month, explaining she set out “to make history” with her show-stopping racy routine, and insisting critics were “overthinking it”.
