Woman Acquitted Of Murder In Nelson County Fire

An acquittal in a fatal fire in Nelson County. A jury in Nelson Circuit Court has found 58-year-old Linda Campbell Blackwell (pictured) not guilty of first-degree murder. Blackwell had been charged in the death of James Shelton, Jr. The jury did find Blackwell guilty of arson in connection with two other fires at the same address. She was also convicted of three counts of obtaining and attempting to obtain money by false pretenses.
