Virginians Dig Out From Latest Winter Storm

Photo: WINA

Our region has several inches of new snow, and countless Virginians shivered their way through overnight temperatures in the single digits.  State Police say three people died in weather-related accidents during a 90-minute period on Monday. The victims are a 30-year-old man in Amelia County, a 35-year-old woman in Brunswick County, and an 18-year-old woman in Campbell County. Lou Hatter of VDOT says his agency will start working on secondary roads after the primary roads are clear. He hopes people who love to speed will ignore that urge. Stan Blackwell of Dominion Virginia Power says our area managed to avoid a lage number of outages
