VDOT Will Shut Down Work Zones Beginning Thursday

Temporary highway lane closures will be suspended across Virginia during the Fourth of July holiday weekend. VDOT says lane closures in temporary work zones will be lifted from noon Thursday until noon on Monday, July 7th. State officials are encouraging drivers to avoid distractions, buckle up everyone’s seat belt, obey the posted speed limits and be courteous to other drivers.
