Students Have One More May Where They Get Swamped With Tests

Students in the Albemarle County public schools get one more month of May when they experience an avalanche of standardized tests. The General Assembly and Governor McAuliffe have approved legislation that requires fewer tests,┬ábut the new law won’t take effect until July. Assistant Superintendent Billy Haun (pictured) says Albemarle’s teachers and principals are prepared for May. Many parents and teachers have complained for years that Virginia has gone overboard with standardized testing.
