Libertarian Robert Christopher Sarvis, who traveled across Virginia last year as his party’s nominee for Governor, is gathering petitition signatures for another major race. Sarvis is running for the U.S. Senate. He wants to join freshman Democrat Mark Warner and whoever the Republicans might nominate at their June 7th convention in Roanoke on the general election ballot. The 37-year-old Annandale resident (who’s pictured with his wife and two young children) says Virginians are receptive to his Libertarian message.
