No same-sex marriage in Virginia, at least not for now. The U.S. Supreme Court has issued a stay in a legal battle that would’ve allowed gay and lesbian couples to begin marrying Thursday morning. Attorney General Mark Herring requested the stay. Herring says he remains in favor of same-sex marriage, but he wants to avoid potential problems. Robin Gorsline of Richmond-based People of Faith for Equality in Virginia says he’s disappointed but confident about the future.
