Roanoke Area Man Goes Missing After Boats Collide

A man from the Roanoke Valley is missing and another has been hospitalized following a boat collision on Smith Mountain Lake. Crews are searching the Bedford County part of the lake for 73-year-old Ronald Lemons of Vinton, who was piloting a bass boat that struck a cabin cruiser. His fishing companion, 64-year-old James McCullough of Bedford County, is in critical condition at a Roanoke area hospital. All three people on the cabin cruiser were from North Carolina.
