Richmond City Council Endorses Medicaid Expansion

Support for expanding Medicaid comes from a big government body. The Richmond City Council is calling on state lawmakers to add to the Medicaid rolls. It came in a resolution passed Monday. The federal government has offered to pay most of the cost of expanding Medicaid in states that do it. Republicans say states would be saddled with the cost if the federal government can’t keep up with the payments.
