Two people were killed and 36 injured when a fierce storm with a tornado and golf-ball sized hail hit Virginia’s Eastern Shore. It slammed into the Cherrystone Family Camping and RV Resort in Northampton County. The storm brought trees down onto tents and campers. One tree hit two tents. A 38-year-old New Jersey couple were killed and their 13-year-old son suffered life-threatening injuries.┬áState Police spokeswoman Corinne Geller says the National Weather Service has confirmed it was an F-1 tornado. One witness at the campground described the sky as “jet black” in color just before the tornado hit.
