The outgoing director of the Charlottesville-Albemarle Technical Education Center likes the school’s recent enrollment trends. Adam Hastings says the overall enrollment will be lower than it’s been in prior years, but the programs that are successful have more students than ever. CATEC has recently turned 40, and it’s looking for a new director. Hastings has been chosen as the new dean of Business, Mathematics and Technologies at Piedmont Virginia Community College.
