A new phase of the McIntire Road Extended project gets underway Monday. Construction crews will begin to create steel bridge girders at the intersection of McIntire Road and the westbound lanes of the 250 Bypass. While that’s going on, drivers can stay on the bypass but they won’t be allowed to make any turns between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Any driver who’s going west on the bypass won’t be allowed to make a left turn onto McIntire. They must make a U-turn at the Rugby Avenue interchange. Separate crews will close Allied Lane from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. so it can be paved.
