The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office has charged a man with dozens of felonies related to sex crimes against children. Nelson Sheriff David Brooks says 56-year-old Kenneth Alan Spratt (pictured) is accused of 37 felony counts. The warrants against Spratt were issued February 18th and Spratt was arrested in Maryland. Spratt waived extradition and was transported back to Nelson County. Sheriff Brooks says Spratt has no fixed address and was staying at a friend’s house in Maryland. The charges include six counts of rape of a child less than 13 years old, 13 counts of sodomy of a child less than 13 years old, seven counts of animated sexual penetration of a child under 13, three counts of possession of child pornography, and eight counts of soliciting child pornography from somebody less than 15 years of age. Spratt is being held without bond at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail. Anybody who has had contact with Spratt should call Investigator Billy Mays at the Nelson Sheriff’s Office.
