A member of the General Assembly has told a judge he’s not guilty of felony sexual misconduct with a minor. Joe Morrissey (D- Henrico County) will stand trial on December 15th. Morrissey says he will not resign from the House of Delegates (pictured), where he’s served since 2008. The 56-year-old lawyer was disbarred in 2003 but he got his law license back a decade later. Meanwhile, Morrissey’s defense team will attempt to get William Neely removed as a special prosecutor. Neely is the longtime Spotsylvania County Commonwealth’s Attorney who has fought in the past to keep Morrissey from getting his law license back.
