Merchants And Police Prepare For Foxfield

The Saturday forecast includes balmy temperatures for the “spring running” of the Foxfield races. Karen Dick of Foxfield says it’s a good idea to buy your tickets from your favorite merchant by Friday afternoon.  The gates will open at 9 a.m. Saturday, and the races will begin during the early afternoon. Carter Johnson of the Albemarle Police says Foxfield will add to the traffic counts on Garth Road. You can also expect a significant law enforcement presence on the Foxfield property. There will be police officers and sheriff’s deputies from the city, county and UVA, along with agents from the Virginia ABC Board.
