Magistrate Sets Rules For McDonnells’ Summer Trial

A federal magistrate has told Former Governor Bob McDonnell and his wife Maureen they should not discuss anything substantive about their upcoming corruption trial with potential witnesses. David Novak has told the McDonnells his rules also include family members and close friends. Novak says the punishment for violating the rules could mean jail time. The McDonnells (pictured) will stand trial in late July.
