Local Lawmaker Blasts New Majority In State Senate

A local member of the General Assembly says the new majority in the State Senate is being hypocritical. Republican Senator Bryce Reeves (pictured) has accused Democrats of spending a lot of time on social issues during this year’s session.¬†One of Reeves’ examples is Hampton Senator Mamie Locke. Locke tried to repeal a 2012 law that requires women seeking abortions to get ultrasounds. Her repeal effort died late last week in a House of Delegates committee.
