Law Enforcement Official: Some Teens Might Face Sexting Charges

More than 100 central Virginia teenagers have been implicated in a six-county “sexting” investigation, but only three or four are likely to be charged as a result. That assessment comes from Major Donnie Lowe of the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office.  In late March, a Louisa parent reported suspicious activity on her child’s Instagram account. An investigation uncovered more than 1000 photos or videos of nude and semi-nude teens, and some of them were sexually explicit. In addition to Louisa, the teens who are sending the pictures live in Albemarle, Fluvanna, Orange, Goochland and Hanover.
