The primary suspect in a recent homicide case has turned himself in. Avery Fernando Gray, Jr. (pictured) has surrendered to a local magistrate. The 39-year-old Gray is accused of shooting 36-year-old Oscar Brown on May 17th outside the Westhaven public housing complex. Gray’s surrender happened a couple of weeks after a Buckingham County woman was arrested for her alleged role in Brown’s activities. Brittany Alamo of Buckingham County has been charged with both being an accessory after the fact and tampering with evidence.
