Governor Proposes Pilot Program For Medicaid

Governor McAuliffe has outlined a new proposal to end a budget stalemate in Richmond.  McAuliffe is urging the General Assembly to approve a two-year pilot program of Medicaid expansion. The Republican-controlled House Appropriations Committee has rejected McAuliffe’s suggestions. The General Assembly reconvened Monday in hopes of adopting a new state budget. The Medicaid issue is the biggest stumbling block for lawmakers who want to cut a deal.
