Three local women have been appointed to statewide boards and commissions. Governor McAuliffe has selected Charlottesville Vice-Mayor Dede Smith on Virginia’s Advisory Committee on Juvenile Justice. Smith (pictured) is a past chairwoman of the City School Board. The Governor has named Gloria Rockhold to the Virginia Latino Advisory Board. Rockhold has been working with Latino families who send their kids to the Albemarle schools. McAuliffe has also named Crozet resident Patricia Taylor to the Governor’s Advisory Board on Behavior Analysis.
The group cites laws on the use of drones and license plate data.
