Murder In Gordonsville – Suspect Arrested

A Gordonsville area man is facing a murder charge. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office says 63-year-old John Louis Johnson of Carter Winkey Road was arrested Sunday afternoon. He’s accused of shooting 40-year-old Clyde Johnson III earlier in the day. Orange investigators believe the two men had a property dispute. The victim died at the scene, and John Louis Johnson is charged with first-degree murder and a firearms offense. The suspect is being held without bond in the Central Virginia Regional Jail.
