Former Albemarle Supervisors are reacting to new developments in the long running debate over a Western Bypass. Dennis Rooker (pictured left) is a longtime bypass opponent who spent 12 years as the Jack Jouett Supervisor. Rooker has ridiculed some of the arguments the project’s supporters are making. Rooker was a Thursday guest on the Morning News with Rick and Jane. Former Rio Supervisor Rodney Thomas (pictured second from right), who supports the bypass, says there are other road alignments that could work. Thomas was a guest on the Schilling Show.
