The onetime Chief of Staff for Maureen McDonnell has told a federal jury her former boss was a “screaming nutbag.” Mary Shea Sutherland testified Wednesday during the Richmond trial of Bob and Maureen McDonnell. Sutherland says frequent yelling and screaming forced her to seek employment elsewhere. She testified that members of the executive protection unit at the Governor’s Mansion came in twice to see if she was okay. Sutherland also says she saw no signs of a crumbling marriage or romantic feelings between Maureen McDonnell (pictured) and Jonnie Williams. She testified she used her own credit card to buy the First Lady’s inaugural gown because her own credit card was maxed out. Sutherland says she was reimbursed for that purchase.
