A former Virginia attorney general is back on the witness stand Tuesday in the McDonnells’ corruption trial. Jerry Kilgore (pictured) began testifying Monday and was still being questioned by a prosecutor when the judge adjourned for the day. Kilgore left office nine years ago and is now a private attorney. He represented formeer Star Scientific CEO Jonnie Williams in his unsuccessful bid to land a state grant for research. Kilgore testified that Williams repeatedly said the McDonnells supported his efforts.
The victim remains in critical condition.
