The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank plans to feed roughly 3000 area kids this summer through a federally sponsored program. The food bank is participating in a U.S. Department of Agriculture Summer Food Service Program, which targets youngsters who qualify for free or reduced-price meals during the regular academic year. The sites include the Abundant Life Ministries on Fontaine Avenue, Friendship Court on Garrett Street, the First Baptist Church (pictured) at 7th and West Main, Greenstone on 5th on Prospect Avenue, and Computers 4 Kids in the Fifeville neighborhood.
