Gillespie Wins GOP Nod For U.S. Senate And Hits Campaign Trail

Ed Gillespie of Fairfax County has won the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate and he’s already hit the general election campaign trail. The 52-year-old Gillespie has his ticket punched for a November 4th showdown with freshman incumbent Mark Warner (D-Alexandria). Gillespie met Monday with local GOP activists at the Republican campaign headquarters in the Albemarle Square Shopping Center. He was also a Monday guest on the Morning News with Rick and Jane.
