The body of a man who’s been missing since two boats collided on Smith Mountain Lake in Bedford County has been found. The Department of Game and Inland Fisheries says the body of 73-year-old Ronald Lemons of Vinton was discovered Saturday. Lemons’ body was sent to a state medical examiner’s office in Roanoke for an autopsy. His fishing compansion, Jim McCulloch of Bedford, was hospitalized after the July 31st collision. Three North Carolina men who were aboard the other boat had no injuries.
Organizers of the original Woodstock festival are trying to get something together to mark the golden anniversary of the event in 2019.
