The Dave Matthews Band is giving more than $350,000 to 62 local non-profits in the latest round of donations from the group’s Bama Works Fund. It’s a regular occurrence, and the most recent donations include $10,000 each to the Piedmont Family YMCA, Meals on Wheels of Charlotesville-Albemarle, the Jefferson Area Board for Aging, and nine other programs. Among those receiving $6000 to $8000 are Charlottesville Tomorrow, The Haven, and the Orange County Adult Education Center. Charlottesville Area Community Foundation, which administers the program, says it’s deeply grateful.
