The Albemarle School Board has approved a 1% increase in the members’ pay. The yearly salary will be $6214 beginning July 1st. Kate Acuff, Steve Koleszar and Barbara Massie Mouly have endorsed the pay increase and Ned Gallaway voted no. Eric Strucko, Jason Buyaki, and Pam Moynihan missed the Thursday night meeting. The board has also approved a 1% increase in the annual salary of School Superintendent Pam Moran (pictured). Moran’s new salary, which taked effect next Tuesday, will exceed $197,000.
