Action On City School Schedules Expected By May 1

The City School Board plans to make a decision early next month on possible changes to student schedules. Assistant Superintendent Jim Henderson says the school division has explored many possibile scenarios. He found teachers at Charlottesville High School opposed one plan that would end a regular class day at 4:15 p.m. School Board Chairman Juandiego Wade hopes to make a decision by May 1st. If the board does change the start times, they would not take effect until the fall semester.
