Charlottesville has its third homicide victim of the year. 27-year-old Otis Edward Scott was wounded by gunfire shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday and he died a short time later at the UVA emergency room. City Police Lieutenant Ronnie Roberts says friends of Scott brought him to the hospital from the 700-block of Prospect Avenue. Roberts says investigators spent Sunday looking for evidence in that neighborhood. He’s asking that anyone with additional information call the Crime Stoppers line at 977-4000.
