Charlottesville’s Billing Now Includes Stormwater Utility Fee

In the month that includes Earth Day, property owners are getting reminders they have to pay the piper for being stewards of natural resources. Monday became the official start of Charlottesville’s billing that includes a new Stormwater Utility Fee. Vice-Mayor Dede Smith notes the city is complying with federal and state environmental mandates. The city’s main website www.charlotteville.org, includes many frequently asked questions about the new fee. Kristel Riddervold (pictured) oversees the Charlottesville campaign to preserve water resources.
