“Border to Border ” Crackdown Labeled Successful

The Border to Border traffic crackdown in seven states caught more than a few bad driviers. Last Friday through Sunday, law enforcement agencies in several states stepped up patrols along Routes 15 and 17. In all, there were nearly 2400 tickets issued for numerous offenses, including speeding, drunk driving, reckless driving and child restraint and seat belt violations. Virginia had 877 summonses on its stretch of Route 15, including 16 in Louisa County and 123 combined in Culpeper, Madison and Orange.
