A big summit next week on the western bypass. VDOT called the meeting after the federal government put the project on hold. That also follows the Albemarle supervisors withdrawing previous support. Supervisor Ken Boyd phoned in the news Wednesday on The Schilling Show. Boyd says government representatives and members of the Chambers of Commerce along the U.S. 29 corridor from North Carolina to Greene County have been invited. The summit meeting will be held next Friday, March 7th.
