Schools Consider More Aggressive Approach To Renovations

The Albemarle Schools did many traditional renovations in recent weeks, and the county is mulling over recommendations for a more aggressive program. Rosalynn Schmitt of the Albemarle Schools’ Building Services Department says many of the spaces don’t meet the students’ needs for a 21st century. Superintendent Pam Moran has urged the school board to provide some guidance on this issue. The board’s August 28th meeting will focus on long-range building needs.
