The Virginia Men’s Basketball team ended its season early Saturday morning in Madison Square Garden in front of more than 19,000 people with a 61-59 loss to Michigan State.  Virginia was unable to stop the interior game of the Spartans as Brandon Dawson had 24 points to lead all scorers for Michigan State, and Adrien Payne chipped in 16. UVA was led by Joe Harris and Malcolm Brogdon who each had 17 points.  Tony Bennett has  complimented seniors Joe Harris and Akil Mitchell.  After the Cavaliers’ season ended at 30-7, Bennett declared” I have watched them grow from boys to men…and turn our program around…what they’re about is good.”
