Samuel L. Jackson destroys news anchor over Fishburne flap

Samuel L. Jackson made a Los Angeles news anchorman feel stupid on live TV on Monday morning when he confused the actor with Laurence Fishburne.

The KTLA entertainment correspondent Sam Rubin was setting up an interview with the “Pulp Fiction” star for the new movie “Robocop” when he complimented Jackson on his new Super Bowl commercial. Confused Jackson asked, “What Super Bowl commercial?”, before realizing Rubin had mixed him up with “The Matrix” star Fishburne, who debuted a new Kia ad on TV earlier this month.

As the embarrassed anchorman attempted to gloss over his error and get on with the interview, Jackson raged, and the cameras caught it all.
