Singer Ozzy Osbourne has been tapped to voice a character in children’s animated show “Bubble Guppies.”

The Black Sabbath frontman will guest star as Sid Fishy, “a rock and roll fish who loves being rotten,” on the popular Nickelodeon series.

Osbourne explains he was keen to take on the role because of his granddaughter Pearl.

He says, “She has Nick Jr. on 24/7 (all day). I can’t wait to see her reaction when she hears my voice come from Sid Fishy’s mouth.”

The 65-year-old’s first episode will premiere next year.

He’s not the only member of the Osbourne family to find success as a kids TV character – Ozzy’s wife Sharon voices Captain Hook’s mother in “Jake & the Never Land Pirates.”
