Talk about using Facebook religiously: Facebook says it has 143 million people who check Facebook daily.

And that’s more Americans checking Facebook each day than read the Bible.

EXTRA: Facebook celebrates 10 years with user movies

A CBS News poll found that about 40 million people use the Bible daily in the U.S. and Canada.

It boasts of 757 million daily active users — 19 percent of who are in the U.S. and Canada.

What’s more, Facebook’s monthly user population is larger than six of the seven continents, trailing only Asia.
