“Frosty Returns,” CBS
Instead of airing “It’s a Wonderful Life” as previously planned, NBC announced it would re-air “The Sound of Music” Live. The musical, originally broadcast live on Dec. 5 and starring Carrie Underwood, garnered more than 18 million viewers but was met with mixed reaction. “It’s a Wonderful Life” is still slated to air on Christmas Eve on NBC.
