Work-Related Fatalities Increase In Virginia

There was an increase in workers getting killed on the job last year. The Virginia Department of Labor and Industry says the number of deaths went up 15% in 2012 compared to 2011. Workers between 25 and 54 years old accounted for almost half of the fatalities, 95% were men, and 73% were white. Transportation incidents accounted for 42% percent of all work-related deaths in Virginia last year.
