If you get your water from the Albemarle County Service Authority, you might see lower monthly bills. The authority’s directors have approved a 1% decrease in the water rates for single family households. The difference could show up in a customer’s July water bill. The board has also approved a 4% increase in the hookup fees for new projects and developments. Both changes are reflected in the authority’s new budget, which takes effect July 1st.
