VT Families React To State Supreme Court Ruling

The families of Virginia Tech shooting victims say what’s been accomplished won’t be diminished by a court ruling that did not go in their favor. They say the campus safety measures that have been adopted nationwide following the April 2007 massacre are a living legacy. The Virginia Tech Victims Family Outreach Foundation says the changes remain strong despite the Virginnia Supreme Court ruling. The high court tossed out a lower court jury’s wrongful death verdict against the state. (Pictured, shooting victim Julia Pryde, whose family was one of the plaintiffs in the court case)
