VMI Loses Faculty Members Thanks To Curriculum Change

Six faculty members at Virginia Military Institute have resigned over a change in the English curriculum. VMI spokesman Stewart MacInnis has told the Richmond Times-Dispatch some professors who chose to leave the Lexington school (pictured) have been there for more than 20 years. The new curriculum shifts the primary focus from literature to writing skills, and some professors became upset when they started to get negative performance reviews.
