Virginia Voters Get Three Choices In Governor’s Race

Virginians will get a third choice in this year’s contest for Governor.     The State Board of Elections has told Libertarian Robert Sarvis he will appear on the November 5th ballot.   He got enough valid petition signatures to join the two major-party nominees.    Sarvis will share the ballot with Republican Ken Cuccinelli and Democrat Terry McAuliffe.    The 36-year-old Sarvis lives in Annandale, and his motto is “Virginia…open minded and open for business.”     The Commonwealth’s 72nd Governor will be sworn in next January, and will live in the Executive Mansion (pictured).
