Virginia Police Official Testifies In Florida Trial

A Prince William County police official became part of the George Zimmerman trial in Florida.   Zimmerman lived in Virginia when he was younger and is facing a second-degree murder charge following the death of Florida teen Trayvon Martin.  Prince William Police Lieutenant Scott Kearns testified that Zimmerman asked to join his agency in 2009, but his credit record doomed his application.  Florida prosecutors have attempted to portray Zimmerman as a police officer wanna-be who acted as a vigilante when he became a neighborhood watch captain.
