Virginia Has New Laws That Involve K-12 Education

Governor McDonnell had a ceremonial signing Monday for new laws that deal with public education.     Loudoun County Delegate Thomas Greason wrote the legislation that lets individual schools get a letter grade.    Another bill lets some school divisions partner with Teach for America.    The Governor says that program has trained more teachers for low-income communities than any other organization or institution in the nation.   State Senator Frank Ruff (R-Mecklenburg County) authored one of the education reform bills.
