A veteran member of the General Assembly is giving up his seat. Roanoke Democrat Onzlee Ware was reelected to a sixth term last week. Ware says he needs to take care of his aging mother who moved in with him three years ago. Governor McDonnell has praised Ware’s service, including his vote last winter for a major transportation package. There will be a special election to fill Ware’s seat in the House of Delegates (pictured).
