UVA Survey Finds Many Undecided Voters

The University of Virginia Center for Survey Research says many local residents remain undecided about the fall contest for Governor.     Among registered voters in this area who indicated a clear choice, Democrat Terry McAuliffe holds a significant lead over Republican Ken Cuccinelli.      In a survey conducted from mid-April to early June, more than 36% of the registered voters didn’t know who they would vote for on November 5th.    Among registered voters who have a clear preference, more than 60% are backing McAuliffe, compared to nearly 39% for Cuccinelli.      Less than 1% voiced support for other candidates.    The survey included residents of Charlottesville and Albemarle, Louisa, Fluvanna, Nelson and Greene.    Tom Guterbock (pictured) runs the Center for Survey Research.
